The Camburg long travel off road system is by far the best available for the Ranger Edge. This is the same system we use on our Ranger Edge race truck. We have raced with this system at the 2005 Baja 1000 and the 2006 Baja 500 in the Trophy Truck class. This system will yield 19″ of wheel travel (with no ac fan box). This system utilizes a full box construction lower arm with 1 1/2″ lower uni balls and 1″ uniballs for the lower arm pivots (no urethane bushings here). The upper arm is made with 4130 chromoly 1 1/2″ .120 wall tube, the reason we do this is to fit a coilover and a by pass shock. This system also comes with a full stainless steel steering system, 17-4 stainless inner clevis, and spacers along with the stainless tie rods. Because of the high wheel travel numbers we achieve we use a 1″ outer heim joint and a 3/4″ inner heim.
The race kit uses our Camburg 2.25 front hubs along with Wilwood 12″ rotors and their 4 piston superlite calipers. With the bigger hubs you’ll need a wheel that has a 5 on 5.5″ bolt pattern with a 4.25″ center-bore for 5/8″ wheel studs.
This kit is for the serious racer and requires extensive fabrication. We recommend a qualified off-road race shop to install and setup this suspension system.
