A precision-ground, heat-treated bearing-grade steel inner pivot rotates independently within the assembly, dramatically reducing torsional bushing wind-up, suspension bind and unwanted spring-rate contribution through the suspension’s travel. The optimized elastomer profile allows high articulation while maintaining durability and long service life, while an integrated dual-seal lip and o-ring system retains lubrication and excludes contamination for maintenance-free operation. Controlled axial compliance within the X-Pivot also helps eliminate lash and impact noise without sacrificing free rotational movement. The X-Pivot has been validated through radial, axial, pullout, torsional and cycle testing. These are compatible with the air suspension and auto leveling headlights position sensors utilizing the OEM end links.
