This Ford Explorer has gone through some major changes. With some of the most impressive fabwork and machining in the off-road industry it is no wonder why so many other shops have "tried" to duplicate this front end. With Custom I beams and axles this Explorer is set up with 20+" of front wheel travel. The axles are 300m heat treated with custom slip joints. The hubs are machined from solid 7075 aluminum and hard anodized. The shocks are a custom Camburg layout utilizing 60mm Bilstein 4 tube by-pass and coil-overs. Sway-A-Way air bumps are used for hard bottom outs. The radius arms are made from massive 1.750 tube and 1.250 heim-joints. The transmission and transfer case are supported by a box X-Member. The Rear end is a Camburg custom floater and a Camburg truss. The rear springs a Deaver with  Camburg Custom shackles. The brake booster was modified by making a cantilever system to move the piston to the side for shock clearance.

Future plans for this Explorer are, a full cage, 3 link with cantilever mounted rear shocks to keep all 4 seats and a 600 HP V8 with a c4 trans.

Estimated cost of the work so far is $25,000. This is all work Front to rear, Tig welded, powder coated, and fiberglass.
