The Camburg long travel off road system is by far the best available for the Ranger Edge. This is the same system we used on our Ranger Edge race truck. We have raced with this system at the 2005 Baja 1000 and the 2006 Baja 500 in the Trophy Truck class. This system will yield 19″ of wheel travel (with no ac fan box). This system utilizes a full box construction lower arm with 1 1/2″ lower uni balls and 1″ uniballs for the lower arm pivots (no urethane bushings here). The upper arm is made with 1 1/2″ .120 wall tube, the reason we do this is to fit a coilover and a by pass shock. This system also comes with a full stainless steel steering system, 17-4 stainless inner clevis, and spacers along with the stainless tie rods. Because of the high wheel travel numbers we achieve we use a 1″ outer heim joint and a 3/4″ inner heim.

Stepping up to FOX’s 2.0 Performance Series shock has a larger aluminum shock body which holds more oil for better shock performance offroad and has a firmer ride.

Looking to lift the rear of your truck? We use the best leafs springs out there manufactured in the USA by Deaver Spring who’s been in the business for over 100 years. They are progressive for better bottoming control when off-roading but plush when driven on the street for a much better ride compared to stock both on and off-road. Some models have a mini-pak available at a lower cost that replaces the factory over-load spring with a 3-5 leaf pack for added lift and progression. Most Deaver springs are not designed for heavy hauling and heavy towing.
When you are ready to take your 5.5 Performance kit to the next level the 2.0 shock upgrade is a great choice. This shock mount is designed to utilize a 2.0 x 8-8.5″ travel remote reservoir shock. This shock upgrade is a level 8 to install so we recommend a high end off-road fabrication shop to do the install.This kit must be welded on and does not include shocks.

The stock transmission x-member will not hold up to off-road conditions and is prone to cracking. This is why we came out with our transmission x-member. This is 100% bolt on and comes powder coated. We also incorporated a strut support system to help stiffen the chassis in the transmission area. This only fits coil sprung 2wd Rangers, not torsion bar front ends.
Ford Rangers are known for thin and weak upper arm mounts on the frame and are prone to them cracking and tearing off. Our Camburg frame gusset kit welds to the stock upper arm mounts and makes them bullet proof.
Our Camburg upper arm mount frame gusset kit will help strengthen your frames weak link. The upper arm mounts can and will tear out under extreme conditions and hardcore driving. This gusset kit will work with most suspension systems out there. Also included is the lower frame bump stop reinforcement. This is a plate that gets welded under the frame where the lower a-arm bump stop hits the frame. This will add 200% more material to this location. This kit is made of laser cut 3/16″ steel and comes complete with 10 gussets.
Our Camburg limit straps are made in the USA and quad wrapped for the ultimate strength from military grade materials. The mounting tabs are 4130 chromoly and plated black for corrosion resistance. These won’t stretch like cheaper versions will that are made overseas.
With heims and uniballs you want to make sure you use the right lube and not a grease or oil that attracts dirt. Tri-flow is a teflon (PTFE) based lube that goes on wet and drys to a film to coat and seal the surfaces. You only need to use 3-4 drops per uniball or heim.
Our UCA bushing and sleeve kit includes replacement bushings and pivot sleeves for all Camburg bushing upper arms. We also include new zerk fittings along with bushing grease packets. Here’s an easy way to freshen up your upper arms.
An easy way to mount a limit strap to the frame/chassis is using this clevis. It gives you the ability to adjust the strap length so initial setup is not as critical and you can re-adjust if the strap stretches over time or if you miscalculated the location slightly. You will need to make the mount this fits into from a piece of tubing.
Looking to adapt a heim to your factory steering rack? Our steering clevis’s and clevis bolts are CNC machined from heat-treated 17-4 H1150 stainless steel for maximum strength. Our design has the least amount of bumpsteer due to our design compared to other aftermarket versions. We supply stainless heim spacers to be used with a standard 3/4″ x 3/4″ heim joint (JMXL-12T).
